Is the NEMO beacon compliant with the MMO Wales Regulation?

Yes the Nemo beacon developed by CLS has passed the MMO I-VMS type approval process in November 2021, by meeting the I-VMS device specification of requirements. The NEMO beacon has undergone evaluation under the I-VMS approval process and is expected to last for at least five years provided they are handled appropriately. Our product has been designed in order to be suitable for vessels with or without on-board power.

Do I have to install the beacon myself?

Yes, you need to install the beacon yourself. A support helpline is available to assist you with the installation and activation of your NEMO, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, at +44 1708 788 400.
How long does the NEMO beacon battery last?

It is difficult to give a straight-forward answer as it depends on several parameters to be combined: sunshine duration, emission type, emission period, etc. You will need to periodically look at LED 1 and the flash color. If the flash produces an orange or red light, you need to recharge your battery using the USB port. The average default battery life observed is approximately two weeks.
Where can I find my invoice?

Following your purchase, it is possible to retrieve a purchase order confirmation in your personal space and within your mailbox. The invoice being issued upon material shipment, it will be available in your Personal space [https://scotland-fisheries-store.groupcls.com/account] after delivery and you will be notified by email.

How do I know if the terminal is working properly?

There is an LED on the terminal which displays the signal status and indicates if the NEMO is operational. You will also be able to see your data in real-time in the FishNEMO software.
How do I buy more than one terminal?

Please complete a separate order form for each terminal required.
How do I charge my terminal?

A battery charging pack is supplied with the NEMO, and the beacon can be removed from the vessel to be charged at home or any convenient location.

The NEMO can be recharged from 0% at least 4 times with the power pack that we supply.

If you are using your own power pack, it should be at least 7500mAh to ensure that the NEMO can be fully charged from 0% in one charge.
